Island Motors Limited, a member of Sime Darby Motor Group, was established in 1972. It was originally called Harper Motor Group, in 1986 changed its name to Island Motors Limited. At the same year, Suzuki Motor Corporation was appointed as Suzuki vehicles in Hong Kong and Macau's sole agent.

 

Suzuki vehicle launched in Hong Kong, has been popular, particularly in the urban four-wheel-drive (SUV) ancestor - Vitara and the ancestor of recreational vehicle (RV) - wagonR. Island Motors is the pioneer of introducing small cars in the vehicle market.
